BLAMELESS

It is required in a minister that he be blameless. Blamelessness is the wisdom never to court scandal, and to act in ways that keep reproach and shame away from both you and your ministry.

In 2 Corinthians 6:3, the Bible says, “We put no obstruction in anybody’s way [we give no offense in anything], so that no fault may be found and [our] ministry blamed and discredited.”

Sometimes, in the eagerness to defend oneself, a child of God may offend both God and man.

Blamelessness is an exercise in restraint and self control. It is in the fights you choose to abstain from because the ministry should never be dragged into the circus of public drama with those of this world as spectators and commentators.

It is the decision to love and never fight back even when poked and provoked by malice and slander.

In 1 Corinthians 9:12, Paul speaks of suffering all things lest he should hinder the gospel of Christ.

Blamelessness is sacrifice; it is choosing silence when words seek to be spoken, it is love when pain demands retaliation and revenge.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Blamelessness is sacrifice; it is choosing silence when words seek to be spoken, it is love when pain demands retaliation and revenge.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. You know my path, my course and my destiny. You have taught me a love that conquers all and shown me the excellent way. My life is without reproach and I stand blameless before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
