1 Peter 5:10(AMP); And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.
FOR A LITTLE WHILE
I have known people who have suffered from diseases for long and have been courted by pain and misery for years.
Some have moved out of one affliction into another in a vicious cycle of never-ending torment.
They assume it is their portion and lot in life and have resigned themselves to their sorrows. “God’s will,” they claim.
No! Not at all!
Our theme scripture clearly reveals God’s mind to us if sorrow or affliction is to come. He says suffering is for a little while.
God forbid that it come but if it does come, it is only for a short time!
In Romans 16:20, the Bible says, “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly…”
Shortly!
Refuse to be the devil’s constant victim. Refuse to be on his “torture list”. Refuse to suffer for a year, five years, ten years, twenty years! That is demonic and is not of God.
Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I thank You because you are my ever present help in time of need. You cannot allow pain and suffering to destroy me. Years of affliction can never be my portion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
