1 Corinthians 8:1 (KJV); Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

WHEN LOVE EDIFIES

The generation in which we are living is one of knowledge. God has availed revelation to us in depths and measures that are very humbling to the heart of a true seeker.

However, when knowledge is not received with humility, it has a tendency to puff up a man.

Even as knowledge increases, the Spirit of God warns us that it is possible to miss so much of what He wants to do by allowing pride to creep into our hearts and cause us to assume that we know enough of God.

How can we conclude that we know enough of He that is bottomless? How can we think that we have exhaustively explored the riches of His glory?

There is so much more in Him! His love is desperate to reveal more than we have seen, heard, touched and tasted.

When the Bible says that love edifies, it means that God wants us to yield to that love that seeks to unveil more of Himself and the mysteries of eternity.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You because You have taught me to be humble even as You elevate me in knowledge and revelation. I cannot stumble in pride because the more I know, the humbler I become, all to the glory of Your name, Amen.
