Luke 7:33-35 (KJV); For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! But wisdom is justified of all her children.
FIRST, THE MESSAGE
When it comes to divine wisdom and the things we must apply ourselves to, there is a hierarchy. The things of God always follow an order.
And the hierarchy is: the MESSAGE, the PRINCIPLES and the METHOD. The message is at the top of the pyramid of wisdom, then comes principles and then the methods.
Unfortunately, it is possible to get lost in the complexities of method and ignore the truth of the message.
There are people who simply cannot get past the preaching style of some preachers or how these men and women of God present themselves. As such, they are boxed in by their own opinions of how a man or woman of God should speak and disregard his or her message completely.
In the Bible, these kinds of men classified John the Baptist as demon possessed because he neither ate bread nor drank wine (Luke 7:33), thus ignoring his message of repentance. They placed Christ in another box marked gluttonous, winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners (Luke 7:34) and swept under the rug his message of the kingdom of God.
Before you criticise why a man of God speaks the way he speaks, walks the way he walks or dresses the way he dresses, start with the message. Is it aligned to biblical truth?
Before you judge the method, judge the message.

GOLDEN NUGGET: When it comes to divine wisdom and the things we must apply ourselves to, there is a hierarchy. And the order is: the MESSAGE, the PRINCIPLES and the METHOD.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I understand the order of the spirit and the things that must come first. I set my heart on the message, above principles and above methods. By this wisdom, I walk in tune with the patterns of the scriptures. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
