WHY FAMILY II?
In the world today, some define family as only consisting of a father, mother and children.
However, God has a broader view on how we should look at families. To God, family not only consists of the father, mother and children but everyone connected to you, especially by blood. It extends to aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, grandparents on both your mother and your father’s side.
Why is this definition important?
God is not interested in only changing the nucleus family that is closest to you. He wants to transform all your relatives because he knows the joy that comes to you when salvation comes to your entire household.
Most importantly, the quality of your life is also defined by the quality of the lives of your family members. What glory is there in being rich and successful when sections of your family are languishing in poverty?
What joy is there in being powerful when your relatives are victims of all sorts of pain and suffering?
When you think of family, be broader in your thinking. Look beyond your immediate family to distant relatives.
Great men do not rise alone. Their shadows give shade to all those related to them. They elevate entire households too.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this truth. I embrace the responsibility upon my life not just for my immediate family but even the most distant relatives. I know that You have appointed me as a watcher over their lives and I do so with diligence and wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
