Apostle Grace Lubega
Jeremiah 12:5 (AMP); The Lord rebukes Jeremiah for his impatience, saying] “If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, Then how can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace [where you feel secure], Then how will you do [among the lions] in the [flooded] thicket beside the Jordan?
A DIVINE ATTITUDE
The Christian life is riddled with many trials. The psalmist lays out this sobering fact in Psalm 34:19 (AMP) when he says that many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous. Men may hate you without cause, those closest to you may betray you and sometimes, your plans may not turn out like you wish.
What then is your attitude in the face of trouble?
God gave the answer to the prophet Jeremiah in the form of the questions He asked him in our theme scripture. “If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, Then how can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace [where you feel secure], Then how will you do [among the lions] in the [flooded] thicket beside the Jordan?”
In other words, if you are crying over how difficult your present circumstance is, how will you respond when something worse comes your way?
Worse things may happen, child of God! What is your attitude? God, loving as He is, does not pet Christians. He knows that in you is the ability to withstand even the harshest of storms. You must believe it too.
How steady is your spirit? What is your tenacity in the face of adversity? How tough-skinned are you?
Never forget who you are and who is in you! Remind yourself that if your enemies dare to throw you to the wolves, you will return leading the pack. If they bury you, you will sprout again because you are a seed!
There is no easier way, there are only harder Christians.
Have a divine attitude!
Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: God, loving as He is, does not pet Christians. He knows that in you is the ability to withstand even the harshest of storms. You must believe it too.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. You are the strength of my spirit. I can never cower in the face of adversity because I know who is in me. I burn hotter than any fire and blow harder than the harshest storm because the greater one lives in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
