Proverbs 14:33 (KJV); Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.”
WHEN WISDOM RESTS
Wisdom rests where there is understanding. If a man lacks understanding, he may know much but never be wise in what he knows.
There are people who have read the scriptures over and over again. They have listened to countless sermons and teachings. To all intents and purposes, they know the Word. However, this knowledge does not guarantee that they have understood. If they have not understood, wisdom cannot settle in their hearts.
If wisdom is not at rest in you, you will easily error while applying what you know. For example, it is a lack of wisdom to drink poison simply because you know the scripture that promises the child of God that if he drinks what is poisonous, he shall not die.
When wisdom rests, a man demonstrates consistency in applying the knowledge that he receives. If wisdom has not rested, a man will experience fluctuations in his experiences. One day he will be full of faith and the next day, he will be tossed hard against the rock surfaces of unbelief.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. The Bible says that the Lord has appeared unto us and given us an understanding. I have an understanding heart. Because I do, wisdom is at rest in me. It builds me up and positions me for greater things in the kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
