Apostle Grace Lubega
Luke 14:28-29 (KJV); For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
COUNT THE COST
To prepare for success, you must first count the cost of what it is you wish to succeed at.
If you do not count the cost, you will be mocked by the very things that you seek to accomplish. In fact, our theme scripture points out the fact that men who do not count the cost never rise above the level of the foundation.
A business, career or ministry whose cost was not counted can never really take off.
Counting the cost is what enables you to finish what you started because it gives you a clear vision of the long haul and what it will entail.
The cost is not merely financial, emotional or geographical. Counting the cost starts by understanding what one is getting into. Do you understand marriage before you get married? Do you understand ministry and its dynamics before you start a ministry? Do you understand business before you launch into it?
With regard to ministry, the late Kathryn Khulman came to the realization of the cost. She said, “it will cost you everything.”
Never let impulse and excitement propel you into any venture that you have not understood. The Bible calls this zeal without knowledge (Romans 10:2). Success belongs to those that know how to count the cost.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Counting the cost starts by understanding what one is getting into. Never let impulse and excitement propel you into any venture that you have not understood. Success belongs to those that know how to count the cost.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this wisdom. My steps are ordered by Your Spirit. I know when to start what I must start and I understand the cost of success. By Your grace, I pay the price because I do not labour alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
