2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP); Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

APPROVED BY GOD

Every time you acquire knowledge, there are tests that come to establish you in whatever truths you have come to the realization of.

Our theme scripture highlights this truth when it says that the workman must be tested by trial.

The approval by God comes to men that overcome the testations that arise because of the Word.

In Mark 4:16-17, the Bible speaks of a certain brand of hearers of the Word and says, “And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.”

There are tests and temptations that will come simply because of the sermon you just heard or what you studied in the morning. It is not a place for you to whine and wonder why you are the enemy’s target. Rather, it is an opportunity for the Word to take root and for you to be established in it.

The Word does not come merely to excite you. It also comes to approve you as a true workman but this approval is made possible by the testations of the Word.

Arise to challenges with this understanding. Remember the Word and use it as the defence in every situation.

FURTHER STUDY: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:92-94

GOLDEN NUGGET: The Word does not come merely to excite you. It also comes to approve you as a true workman but this approval is made possible by the testations of the Word.

PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for this truth. I thank You for every testation that comes to establish me in Your Word. I overcome temptation and prevail over circumstances because I live in this understanding. I am approved by God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
