Apostle Grace Lubega
James 1: 23-24 (NIV); Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
THE MIRROR
When you became Born Again, the Bible became your mirror.
It is unfortunate that some Christians rely more on physical mirrors as a source of confidence than they do the Word.
Start from the Word, then tell the physical mirror what it should see.
Some people’s mirrors are other people. They look at their lives through the filter of other people’s often narrow and biased opinions.
As a result, many struggle with self-esteem because few people have the capacity to consistently hold you in exalted and high regard.
God has given us the true mirror, which is His Word.
Consult the mirror every morning before you go to work. Consult the mirror before you stand before men.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Corinthians 3:18, Colossians 3:16
GOLDEN NUGGET: God has given us the true mirror, which is His Word. Consult the mirror every morning before you go to work. Consult the mirror before you stand before men.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this knowledge. I look to the Word as the source of my identity and inner strength. The Word is continually before me, directing my paths and leading me into all truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
