Apostle Grace Lubega
Luke 19:2-5 (KJV); And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.
TO CLIMB A TREE
The story of Zacchaeus has an interesting lesson to us on the price of success.
Zacchaeus, the Bible reveals, was a short man. With so many heads and shoulders above his, he found himself in the unfortunate place of being unable to see Jesus as He passed through Jericho.
Driven by zeal, he climbed a tree to overcome his predicament. To the mind of the spirit, this was not merely a man climbing a tree, this was a man positioning himself for a divine visitation.
Wisdom teaches us that we must actively take the initiative to overcome any possible impediments to our success. We are to live without any excuse (Romans 1:20).
If your success is impeded by the fact that you do not have knowledge in a particular field of interest, climb a tree child of God, by making the decision to seek the knowledge that you need.
If the problem is the lack of a skill that would ensure your promotion at the workplace, pay the price to acquire the skill. If it means enrolling for a course, do so. If it means making friends with people who are good at what you desire to learn, do so, climb a tree.
If your impediment is a struggling prayer life, make the deliberate choice to learn how the realm of prayer works. Read the books, listen to the sermons and above all, yield to the teaching of the Spirit that guides us into all truth.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Wisdom teaches us that we must actively take the initiative to overcome any possible impediments to our success. We are to live without any excuse.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Greatness, success and increase are my portion in Christ. I embrace them as my reality and pay the price, in faith, to be what I must be. My story is one of victory born through endurance and fortitude because the greater one lives in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
