Isaiah 60:19 (KJV); The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
THE LIGHT WITHIN
Oftentimes, some Christians depend too much on external sources of light as opposed to the light within.
When He says that the sun shall be no more thy light by day, He means that nothing on the outside should be your light. That which is inside your spirit should be your light.
A wise man once said that if the spotlight that is shining on you is brighter than the light within you, it will kill you.
Nothing on the outside can truly satisfy a man. In fact, history has proved that these ‘external lights’ have killed men. Men have died as a result of too much money; they have died because of too much fame; they have died because of overwhelming success.
The reason such men perished is that the light on the outside shone more than the light on the inside.
God is inside you. He is that light that supersedes all lights. He is brighter than any fame and success. Allow the glory of His radiance to shine forth. Money may cease but He never ceases. Fame may fade but He never fades!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. You are the radiance in my spirit and my soul. In all things, I look to the light within. My eyes are set on Christ and not on anything on the outside. You, my Lord, are my true fulfilment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
