1 John 4:7-8 (KJV); Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
LOVE, THE ULTIMATE PROOF
What proves that you are born of God?
Some Christians try to prove their identity in God through the gifts that they have, such as healing or prophecy. Others try to prove who they are through the riches that they have amassed.
They look at the things that accompany salvation as the mark of their identity in Christ.
As much as these things follow those that have believed, the Bible points us to the ultimate mark of those that have been born of God.
Our theme scripture says, “one that loves is born of God.”
When we say that we are born of God, we mean to say that He loves men through us. To be born of God is more than a statement of uniqueness and distinctness, it is a testament to the fact that God is demonstrating His love for men through you.
It is more than a confession of the power that you received through Christ, it is proof that God’s love will always find free expression through you.
