1 Timothy 2:1-3(KJV);  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

WISDOM IN PRAYER I

The Bible mandates us as the body of Christ to pray for ALL men. This means that in the mind of God, prayer should not be limited to only our personal needs and the needs of those in our immediate circle.

For example, our theme scripture exhorts us to pray for those that are in authority.

Some people spend too much time criticising their authorities and very little time praying for them. They are too preoccupied with what is wrong with their leaders and never make an effort to pray for these leaders.

How about your boss?

There are believers who spend most of their time complaining about how terrible their bosses are and how mistreated they are by their supervisors. The question is, have you ever taken time to pray for him or her?

There are circumstances that can never change until you make the decision to pray for the individuals that God has placed in the midst of those circumstances. Sometimes, the change in your work environment might only be a prayer away.

Make the choice to never criticise and instead pray more. Criticism will not get you anywhere yet with prayer, you will travel miles.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: James 5:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

GOLDEN NUGGET: Make the choice to never criticise those in authority and instead pray more. Criticism will not get you anywhere yet with prayer, you will travel miles.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I receive this wisdom and walk in its fullness. I intercede for those in authority with Your mind and will. In prayer, I effect change in my workplace, my nation and my world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
