Genesis 1:5(KJV); God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day
FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT
God’s pattern of doing things is always from darkness to light. He does not move from light to darkness.
This pattern was set from the beginning of creation.
In our theme scripture, the first day did not progress from morning to evening. It was from evening to morning.
In 1 Peter 2:9, He called us out of darkness into His marvellous light.
In the same way, the teaching of the gospel should reflect this way of God.
When we preach doom, gloom and everything that is wrong with the church, we are preaching darkness in darkness.
God expects us to be light in the darkness, hope in a hopeless world, peace in storms and joy in the midst of sadness.
This same thinking must be reflected in your life as a believer. God moves you from darkness to light, weakness to strength, sadness to joy, restlessness to peace.
Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. God has not intended for you to get stuck in the night, weeping endlessly. You are a child of light, joy is yours.

GOLDEN NUGGET: God expects us to be light in the darkness, hope in a hopeless world, peace in storms and joy in the midst of sadness.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. I am a child of the light. My thoughts and my words are of light. I expect good in all that I do because light is the testimony of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
