FEED ON THE WORD.

Colossians 3:16(KJV); Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

FEED ON THE WORD.

There is such a thing as a starved spirit. Starved spirits are those that are continuously deprived of the Word of God.

A starved spirit is visible to the spiritual eye and it is a very sad sight.

A person may look healthy and well to do on the outside. They may dress up in expensive clothes and wear expensive cologne. They may bear all the appearances of a strong and fit human being.

None of that counts if your spirit is malnourished.

There is a Christian out there who last read their Bible five years ago. There is another who has one tucked in the corner of a shelf and it has been gathering dust for the last decade. There is another who will only refer to it during times of pain.
What about sound teaching? When was the last time you listened to a sermon? Do you only attend church on Christmas day and the new year?

The effects of spiritual malnourishment are quite devastating child of God.

A malnourished spirit cannot stand the attack of disease. A malnourished spirit cannot survive the emotional trauma of betrayal. A malnourished spirit cannot survive the twists, turns, fires and storms that blow our way in this journey called life.

I urge you this day, to give the Word of God your attention. With the Word, you can never have too much.

You shouldn’t limit your eating to only Sundays. You shouldn’t ration small portions to your spirit because you think it cannot take a lot of it.

Make a banquet of the word. Feed on it consistently and continually. Never let the sun go down without studying it. Read it as though your life depends on it, because it does.

FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 4:20, 2 Timothy 2:15

GOLDEN NUGGET: Make a banquet of the word. Feed on it consistently and continually. Read it as though your life depends on it, because it does.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this knowledge. Your Word is the cornerstone of my life and the foundation of all that I do. I make the choice every day to give it my attention, my heart and my time. I grow in the knowledge of God and of the son. I am launched deeper into eternal truths because the Word is continually before my eyes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
