Apostle Grace Lubega
Hebrews 11:6(KJV); But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
I PLEASE GOD
God has not called us to please the world but to please Him.
Paul asked the question, “Do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10).
What pleases God has been misunderstood by many believers. They struggle through various works of their own righteousness to please Him.
His opinion of such acts was made clear by the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 64:6. He said, “All our righteousness are as filthy rags.”
What then pleases God? Faith pleases Him.
When you refuse to walk by sight but by faith, God is pleased with you.
When you do not look at the negative circumstances around you which are temporal and instead focus on Christ, this pleases God.
When you stretch out your hands towards the sick, the blind or the lame because you know that He who is in you is able, you please God.
Faith puts a smile on God’s face.
The faith of His children gives Him great pleasure.
When we grow in faith, we grow in our ability to please God.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Galatians 1:10, Acts 5:29
GOLDEN NUGGET: Faith puts a smile on God’s face. The faith of His children gives Him great pleasure. When we grow in faith, we grow in our ability to please God.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I am a seed of faith. I live my life by its patterns and laws. My thoughts please You because they are in faith. My prayers delight You because they are in faith. As I grow in faith, I experience greater pleasures in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
