Proverbs 28:9 (MSG); God has no use for the prayers of the people who won’t listen to him.
WISDOM IN PRAYER
The Word of God is full of instructions on how to live life.
In God’s Word, you will find a manual on how to build a ministry, how to grow in your calling, how to run a business, how to keep a marriage or how to succeed in any area of your life.
However, there are people who have disregarded all the principles of God while choosing the “shortcut” of prayer.
God clearly states His mind towards such people in our theme scripture. He says He has no use for the prayers of people who won’t listen to Him. The King James version calls such prayer an abomination.
Take the example of forgiveness. There are blessings that forgiveness will release you into. If you refuse to regard the Word that tells you to forgive and spend days and nights praying for breakthrough, well aware that there is someone you refused to forgive, and expect that God will disregard His word and instructions to you, then you are quite deceived.
Some people have spent years praying for the things that the Word has told them to do.
If the Word instructs you to give, nights in prayer binding the spirit of poverty are not going to save you if you don’t give.
If the Word instructs you to submit to spiritual authority, nights in prayer asking God to give you a mantle and yet you disrespect your spiritual authority will not help you.
If the Word instructs you to be diligent in your business affairs, spending nights in prayer binding the witchcraft of the next door shop owner will not help you.
Prayer is not a substitute for rebellion against the Word of God. Submit to His Word in humility.
