Exodus 33:18-19(KJV); And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
EXPERIENCE UPON EXPERIENCE
Experiences in God are invitations. These invitations are defined by how hungry we are for the things of the Spirit and how available we are to God.
In Exodus 24, after Moses was invited up to mount Sinai by the Lord, he spent forty days and forty nights in God’s presence. He was drawn into a heavenly atmosphere, experienced great glory and received divine instructions.
Our theme scripture reveals that even after these great experiences, Moses was still hungry for more. He tells the Lord, “Show me thy glory.”
He did not sit back in satisfaction after having experienced God for forty days and forty nights. He did not imagine that he had seen enough to last him a lifetime. He asked for more.
God responded to him by another invitation. In Exodus 34:28, the Bible reveals that Moses spent a further forty days and forty nights with God.
God is ready to show you more. How hungry are you? Do you feel like you have heard enough of His word? Do you imagine that you know Him well enough and don’t need any deeper insights into His person?
God wants to give you experience upon experience until your cup is overflowing. One experience should not be enough, ask for more. One encounter should not satisfy you, believe for a deeper one.
Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Experiences in God are invitations. These invitations are defined by how hungry we are for the things of the Spirit and how available we are to God.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I am grateful for Your Word. I believe in what You are doing in these great times. Your Spirit is launching me into deeper places in You. My heart, mind and soul are open to the depths in which You want to plunge me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
