1 Samuel 17:39(KJV); And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
PROVED
When David offered to fight Goliath, King Saul gave him his armour, assuming that it is what David needed. David rejected the armour because he had not proved it.
What then had David proved?
David had proved the enduring faithfulness of God over and over again. When he fought bears and wrestled with lions, God proved Himself faithful (1 Samuel 17:34-37).
Sometimes, people are quick to rely on things that have never been proved. They lean on friends who are not proved; on jobs that are not proved and on businesses that are not proved. These things have not been proved because of their inclination to fickleness.
But one thing has been proved over the course of history and has been seen to never fail–it is God’s Word.
This Word split seas, caused axes to float, collapsed city walls, healed the sick and raised the dead. You can count on it, any day, anytime and in any place!
You don’t need a social connection to win that battle–you need His Word. You don’t need money to get to your next level, you need the Word!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this Word. I count my blessings one by one and know that You have been faithful. Through thick and thin, the waters and the fire, You never left me. I rely on You with all my heart because You are true. My hope and trust are set on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
