THE AUTHORITY TO ANSWER.

Mark 11:12-14(KJV); And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
In our theme scripture, the Lord teaches us a fundamental principle on how we relate with the world around us when it dares to question the authority that we have in God.
The Bible reveals that Christ ANSWERED the fig tree. He did not explain or seek to justify Himself before the tree. This in itself was a true exercise of authority.
Today, we have so many Christians busy explaining themselves. They explain themselves to circumstances and explain themselves to the things that question who they are in God.
Circumstances are looking for answers and not explanations.
Take the example of ministers who respond to criticism by going to the pulpit and explaining their side of story, on issues only God should vindicate.
When you make it your mission to convince the world of your worth, that is an explanation, not an answer.
There are those who admit the world into their private spaces to demonstrate that they are stable, accountable, and innocent. That is an explanation, not an answer.
Your faith in God must speak for itself.
Answer circumstances by exercising the authority you have in Christ. Do what He has given you power to do: heal, cast out demons, cleanse lepers and preach the gospel!

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. I know who I am and whose I am. I know what to say in the face of adversity because You have shown me the pattern. I command circumstances and put them in their place because I carry divine authority. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
