PHANEROO~DEVOTION

Apostle Grace Lubega
Acts 17:23(KJV); For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
THE GOD WE KNOW
God can never be known to you if He is one among many.
This was the dilemma of the men that Paul met at Athens. They had many other gods and the “unknown God” was merely a number among others.
God can only be known to those that not only have Him as their priority but also understand that He is the only God over their lives.
There are Christians for whom God is classified alongside their jobs, businesses, spouses, children, cars, houses, mobile phones and even their ministries. They think they are worshipping the one and only true God despite the other priorities in their lives that dominate their time.
To such, He is still the unknown God because you cannot seek Him with all your heart and He remains unknown; you cannot give Him all your attention and He remains unknown; you cannot lose all things for His sake and He remains unknown.
The more time you devote to other things outside the presence of God, the less known He is to you.
God wants you to know Him but to do that He must not be one among many. You must examine your life and how you spend your time. If you truly desire to know Him then He must have all your attention.
His name be praised.
FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 27:4, Psalm 42:1
GOLDEN NUGGET: God wants you to know Him but to do that He must not be one among many. You must examine your life and how you spend your time. If you truly desire to know Him then He must have all your attention.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I receive it with grace and great joy. I dedicate my life and my days to a deeper and greater knowledge of who You are. My time and my attention are all yours. To the glory of Your name, Amen.
