Psalm 42:7(KJV); Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

WHEN DEEP CALLS

God is deep!

When the Amplified version speaks of the deep things of God, it calls them divine counsels and things hidden and beyond human scrutiny.

You must understand that when God relates with us, He does so from this place of depth. The Message Version translation of 1 Corinthians 2:10 says that the Spirit is not content to flit around on the surface and as such, He dives into the depths of God. This defines how He deals with us as Christians.

Because He is deep, deep calls unto deep. The depth of God calls to the depth in you.

Ironically, there are Christians on the surface of spiritual waters claiming that deep is calling unto deep. Even worse, there are those on dry ground, claiming that deep is calling unto deep.

No! When deep calls, it does so to those that are submerged into the experiences of the Spirit and are eager to keep launching deeper.

Where do you stand in this equation? How submerged are you in the waters of spiritual experience? How immersed are you in the Word of God?

If you, out of true soul searching realise that you are on dry ground, run to the waters. If you are floating on the surface, dive in. If you are submerged, launch deeper.

How you ask?

Give more time to the study of the Word. Spend more time in the solitude of prayer. If you are the kind whose prayer life is only thirty minutes long, purpose to give God more time, add an hour, two hours, make yourself available for God.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I am hungry for deeper experiences in You. Today, I yield my heart and spirit to have more of You. I thank You for more understanding, wisdom and a greater manifestation of Your presence in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
