Apostle Grace Lubega
Philippians 3:9(KJV); And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
FOUND IN HIM
In God we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
But think about it for a moment. How does an imperfect being dwell in a perfect God? How does corruption inhabit incorruptibility?
It’s not possible. It is much like mixing metal and sand. It is only made possible by the truth that Paul reveals in our theme scripture.
We are found in God by virtue of not having our own righteousness which is of the law but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
You cannot claim righteousness by the law and also claim that you are in Christ. The righteousness that is imputed upon us by God is what makes possible the merging of natures between imperfect man and a perfect God.
You are one with God. The imputed righteousness you have by Christ is what makes this oneness possible.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Acts 17:28, 1 Corinthians 6:17
GOLDEN NUGGET: You cannot claim righteousness by the law and also claim that you are in Christ. The righteousness that is imputed upon us by God is what makes possible the merging of natures between imperfect man and a perfect God.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. I thank You for the precious and priceless gift of Your grace. I receive and embrace the imputed righteousness that is in Christ. I live in the confidence that I am in You and You are in me. This is the true reality of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
